Whether you’re part of the 45% of sales leaders looking to exceed sales targets in 2023 or a Chief Revenue Officer looking to build up your team, there are always benefits to attending sales conferences. Beyond the valuable insights you can gain from keynote speakers, conferences are a way to network with like-minded salespeople, meet new potential employees or hires, create potential partnerships, and generally outperform reps and leaders who don’t attend conferences.

The event industry, which includes conventions and conferences, has expanded 44% over the last decade. With so many to choose from, it can be a bit challenging to decide which one to attend. The good news is that we’ve collected some of the top sales and marketing conferences you and your team can attend this year. Here’s our list.

Gartner CSO & Sales Leader Conference

May 16-17, 2023 | Las Vegas, NV

Sales strategies are constantly evolving, especially in a world where machine learning is advancing rapidly. The Gartner CSO & Sales Leader Conference is a place where C-Suite executives can learn the newest and latest sales and training techniques to take back to their companies. Noteworthy keynote speakers from 2023’s edition, which took place in Las Vegas, NV, included Cassandra Worthy, a founder and CEO with 15 years of corporate M&A experience.

While the conference is held in a different city every year, the option to attend virtually makes it accessible even if you’re not able to travel to it. Keep an eye on dates for 2024!

INBOUND

September 5-8, 2023 | Boston, MA

Hubspot is one of the biggest B2B software companies in the world. The company brings together the top keynote speakers in sales, marketing, and customer analytics each year to share valuable insights and strategies. INBOUND is a great conference to send your entire sales team to, as there are presentations on all the latest sales trends and tools that have become popular over the last year.

2023’s INBOUND will take place in Boston, MA, between September 5 and 8. You can attend in person or have your team join the conference virtually. Notable speakers for this year’s INBOUND include actor and Hello Sunshine founder Reese Whiterspoon and baseball Hall of Fame inductee Derek Jeter. There are free and paid conference options available.

OutBound Sales Conference

Dates TBA | Atlanta, GA

OutBound is a five-day conference held each year in Atlanta that attracts over 2,000 people in the sales and marketing field. It was founded by Anthony Iannorino, Mike Weinberg, Mark Hunter, and Jeb Blount. It’s also considered to be one of the best sales conferences for professionals exploring ways to improve their sales pipeline, marketing automation, and customer retention strategies. 

Over five days, you can expect to hear a wide range of speakers, including Donald Kelly, founder of The Sales Evangelist. If you’re unable to make the trip out to Atlanta, there is the option for virtual attendance as well. 

Although 2023’s event has passed, Outbound will return in 2024 and those interested to attend should keep an eye on the official website for more details.

Dreamforce

September 12-14, 2023 | San Francisco, CA

Founded in 2003, Dreamforce is the brainchild of Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff. Each year in September, over 170,000 sales professionals attend the conference in San Francisco for the chance to hear from leaders such as Al Gore and Marc Benioff. You can even enjoy a musical number from bands like Metallica between keynote speakers.

Dreamforce hosts numerous workshops and panels about the impact technology is having on lead generation, sales development, creating the best customer experience, and B2B sales. It’s not hard to see why Dreamforce is one of the top sales conferences in the world and continues to grow each year.

Sales Enablement Summit

June 23-24, 2023 | Multiple Locations

The Sales Enablement Summit is a more private affair, but you still have the opportunity to network with representatives from over 150 private businesses and organizations. There are normally around 300 attendees and several dozen keynote speakers over the course of the two-day event. 2023’s event, which takes place on June 23 and June 24, features speakers such as Ambrose Wallace, Revenue Enablement Manager at Shopify, and AWS Senior Partner Enablement Manager, Brooke Coletti.

You can catch the conference in person if you live in or travel to one of the following cities: New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin,Toronto, Sydney, London, and Amsterdam. There are four levels of passes you can purchase for attendance and because the conference is global, many people attend it virtually. 

Seismic Shift

October 23-26, 2023 | San Diego, CA

Seismic Shift is held annually by Seismic, the sales enablement platform. It has a lot to offer your team, from your sales executives and marketing team down to your sales and customer service representatives. Seismic Shift has hosted renowned speakers from large technology companies that include Deloitte, Microsoft, IBM, and Intel. 

The focus of Seismic Shift is how to engage your potential customers to increase conversion rates and ways you can keep customers coming back to your business. This is a great conference if your goal is to improve retention rates and the customer service experience you offer your target leads. The event is held in San Diego, CA, and will take place between October 23 and 26, 2023.

Tenbound Sales Development Summit

June 21, 2023 | Austin, TX

The Tenbound Sales Development Summit is a single day event held in Austin each year, with this year’s event taking place on June 21. There are also two virtual conferences available throughout the year. It’s an ideal event for sales representatives who are looking to hone their skills and close more sales. Some of the topics from last year’s event included AI prospecting, how to create a sales funnel, networking, and how technology is changing sales strategy. This year’s notable keynote speakers include Amir Reiter, CEO of CloudTask.

The data-driven strategies provided are geared toward sales professionals specializing in B2B sales strategy. 

Sales Leadership Summit

Dates TBA | Chicago, IL

The Sales Leadership Summit is held in Chicago and lasts three days. It’s hosted by the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals and offers workshops for sales professionals at every level. Events include panels with subject matter experts, breakout sessions, and opportunities for participants to network with one another.

It’s advised to attend the conference in person, but virtual attendance is possible for those who can’t make it from out of town. If you missed their Digital Now Revenue Summit, keep an eye out for their Executive Retreat, which will be hosted in the US from October 3-5 in Santa Fe, NM, or internationally from November 7-9 in Surrey, UK.

SaaStr Annual Summit

September 6-8, 2023 | San Francisco, CA

If you’re working in the SaaS industry, you simply can’t miss out on the SaaStr Annual Summit. Every year, over 10,000 Cloud and SaaS investors and executives meet up for three days to offer 150 workshops and 1,000 networking sessions. The summit is held like a festival so that participants aren’t overwhelmed with too much information. After a solid day of sessions led by the likes of Ben Chestnut, Brad Hoover, Ashley Kramer, and Kate Ahlering, attendees can have a memorable time during the parties each night.

The SaaStr Annual Summit is held in the Bay Area of San Francisco. 2023’s event takes place between September 6 and 8. There isn’t currently a virtual attendance option. 

LeadsCon

Dates TBA | Las Vegas, NV

LeadsCon is one of the best marketing conferences you can send your sales reps to due to the sheer number of top-performing salespeople who show up each year. It covers a range of topics from using technology to improve the quality of sales leads to the role artificial intelligence and machine learning is taking in sales operations.

Other topics include ways to improve customer service and retention rates, how to use customer behavior to reveal actionable insights, and how to improve engagement with social media. Sales staff looking for networking opportunities will find plenty here as entertainment and parties are sprinkled in between presentations. 

2024’s LeadsCon will happen in early April 2024 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

Sales Success Summit

October 16-17, 2023 | Austin, TX

Sales Success Media hosts the Sales Success Summit in Austin, TX each year to showcase many household names in the world of professional sales. The keynote speakers at the two-day long event are selected from the top 1% of national sales and revenue experts. Some of the previous speakers include Briana Stimmler, Digital Sales Representative at Microsoft, Evan Kelsay, Senior Director of Global Accounts at Seismic Software, and Jheryn Kenny, Key Account Manager at LinkedIn.

With speakers from a wide range of relevant industries, there’s plenty to offer your entire team. 2023’s edition happens between October 16 and 17, and you can sign up for the summit in person, or attend the sales conference virtually.  

Unleash

October 17-18, 2023 | Paris, FR

Unleash 2023 will take place in Paris’ Expo Porte de Versailles from October 17 to October 18. Unleash features a clear focus on HR and recruiting. This makes it an excellent event for CHROs and hiring managers to gain valuable insight from some of the world’s top HR names. 2023’s speakers include Jean-Claude Le Grand, CHRO at L’Oréal, Anika Grant, Chief People Officer at Ubisoft, and Giancarlo Palà, Head of IT HR at Nestlé Group.
